Genuine Tech Seal-It repair strings for fast tubeless tyre puncture repairs. Each string is 8 inches (200mm) long and suits nail-hole injuries up to 6mm in the tread area of radial and cross-ply passenger, light truck, tractor, ATV, ride-on mower and OTR tyres.

How they're used

Demount and inspect the tyre off the rim, ream and clean the injury, apply vulcanising fluid, insert the string with an insertion tool, cement the injury 3–5 times and check for leaks before refitting and inflating. Requires standard string-repair tools (vulcanising fluid, insertion tool, spiral cement tool, leak detector) — not included.

Important safety information

String repairs are a temporary, on-vehicle repair only. Do not exceed 100 miles (160 km) or 50 mph (80 km/h) on a string repair. A permanent repair must be carried out by a qualified tyre technician with the tyre demounted and inspected off the rim. Always follow the applicable tyre-repair regulations and standards (e.g. BS AU 159). Incorrect repairs can lead to tyre failure, loss of vehicle control and serious injury.
